Adriano Albuquerque é jornalista esportivo e serviu como editor e repórter do site BasketBrasil (http://www.basketbrasil.com.br) por cinco anos, entre 2005 e 2010. Já passou pelas redações do diário LANCE! e do site Globoesporte.com, e cobriu diversos esportes como basquete, futebol americano, futebol, beisebol, streetball, tênis, vôlei e natação. Atualmente, atua como assessor de imprensa. É torcedor do Detroit Pistons desde os tempos dos Bad Boys de Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars e Bill Laimbeer.

Deu seus primeiros arremessos numa quadra de basquete aos 9 anos de idade. Desde então, disputou todos os campeonatos das categorias de base, atuou por uma temporada de High School nos Estados Unidos e foi parte da equipe adulta de Santo André até sua formação acadêmica como jornalista na Universidade Metodista de São Paulo. Produziu o documentário "Bola ao Cesto", que faz uma retrospectiva detalhada da Seleção Brasileira de basquete masculina. Foi repórter da TV Federação Paulista de Futebol, mas jogar, assistir e comentar os jogos da bola laranja sempre foram sua tarefa predileta. Atualmente, assumiu o cargo de assessor de comunicação da Liga Nacional de Basquete e escreve para a NBA desde 2007.

Foi a paixão pelos esportes que fez com que esse ex-administrador de empresas resolvesse tornar-se jornalista. Formado pela Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, já escreveu sobre esportes em vários sites e blogs e hoje é o responsável pelo setor de jornalismo de uma grande empresa de cosméticos da região do ABCD paulista. Porém, sua grande motivação ainda reside em comentar e escrever sobre eventos esportivos, especialmente o basquete. É fã e grande colecionador de artigos da NBA desde quando assistiu sua primeira partida ao vivo na antiga Miami Arena há 15 anos.
